Chocolate Chip Cookies
Share
There's something about a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies that just feels like home. Golden edges, soft centres, and plenty of melty chocolate in every bite — these are the kind of cookies that disappear quickly from the cooling rack!
Our Bakery Bliss Vanilla Cake Mix makes the perfect starting point for this easy recipe. With a few simple ingredients, you can whip up a batch of homemade cookies that are perfect for sharing, packing in lunchboxes, or enjoying with a cup of coffee.
Our recipe calls for one cup of chocolate chips, but here's the thing: you can never really have too many chocolate chips😉
Milk chocolate makes these cookies extra sweet and creamy, while semi-sweet or dark chocolate adds a richer flavour. Want to change things up? Try white chocolate chips, chopped chocolate chunks, or a combination of your favourites. You could even add a little of everything for a cookie that's loaded with chocolate in every bite!
There's no wrong choice here, so have fun making them your own.
Tips for the Best Cookies
Don't skip the chill time. Letting the dough chill for 30 minutes helps flavour develops and limit spread (yields a taller cookie).
Watch the edges. Bake until the edges are lightly golden. The centres may still look a little soft, but they'll continue to set as the cookies cool.
Give them room to spread. Leave space between each scoop of dough on your baking sheet so the cookies have room to bake evenly.
Let them cool. Allow the cookies to rest briefly before transferring them to a cooling rack. This helps them hold their shape.
Happy baking!
