What You’ll Need

  • ½ package (about 2 ¾ cups) of our Vanilla Cake Mix
  • ¾ cup whole orange purée (peeled, seeds removed, blended)
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 – 3 tablespoons milk (if batter feels too thick)
  • Optional: zest from ½ an orange

For the glaze:

  • ½ cup icing sugar
  • 1 – 2 tablespoons of orange juice
  • Pinch of zest


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease or line a loaf pan.
  2. Whisk together orange purée, eggs, and oil until smooth.
  3. Stir in cake mix until just combined. Add milk as needed to loosen the batter slightly.
  4. Pour into the pan and smooth the top.
  5. Bake for 40–50 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool completely, then drizzle with the orange glaze if desired.
